WAIHI GOLD MINING COMPANY LAST YEAR'S OUTPUT. ■ EXCEEDS PREVIOUS YEAR'S BY £3,516. A RECORD. Fob the year 1904 the total value of bullion won from the Waihi mine was £663,997, exceeding the value of the preceding year's output by £3516. Last year the dividends and bonuses paid by the company amounted to £500,000. The total amount paid in dividends, interest payments, and bonuses to date is £1,552,896, out of a groBS yield from the mine of £3,817,383. The annexed table shows the 'returns to date :

The vVaiotahi mine shot down a rich portion of th 9 hanging wall, and 7 ewt.of ' picked stone has been secured. As there is quartz still showing at the back where the gold was obtained, they are now cuttin# into it, in order to ascertain the true hangiiif- wall. Also thoy intend taking out the hanging wall portion left standing. There is now a good show of gold coming back in this direction. There is a show of gold still loft on the floor of the drive. The disturbance in the face was investigated, but so far the manager has not been able to do sufficient to prove what effect it will have. There is still a large body of quartz in the face. The manager hap made a start to put the picked stone through a single stamper. The result of a.portioD of the crushing now proceeding has already given 3210zs of retorted gold.
