A man named J. .1), Cooper, a resilient o' Canterbury, who was proceeding by train from Wellington lo Mistorlon, was run ovor by tlio south train at Ktiioko, and had his lee cut oil below the knee. He was brought to tlie hospital, and is now progressing favourably.
