Fielding, this day I'he Band Contest Committee met last evening to oonsidsr tho entries, Six wore received from tho Hamilton, Hawera, Dannovirke, Kapongn, Young Men's Institute (Wanganui), and Foilding bands respectivbly. It was deuidod to extend iho time for receiving nominations to the 10th inst, the committee considering the prize monoy too large for such small support, Unloss more bands nominate they will most probably abandon tho contest.
