Press Association .—Copyright', Sydney, this day,, In making tho award in a dispute between the Trolly, Drayinon, and Carters' Union and Master Curriers' Association, tho Court granted preloronco to unionists, Tho employers' representative dissenting, the Judge said: " Tho Court can only exercise jurisdiction on tho application of employees when thoso employees aro incorporated as an industrial union; and therefore, so far as they aro concerned, an industrial union that givos lifo and existence to industrial unions is vittl for the operation of «ho Aot, 1 consider that where an industrial union fairly and prac- i ticnlly ropresonts industry, so far a;i cm ployees arc concerned, proioronco should be given to unhiiids. In giving this preference a hardship may lie imposod on I omployers; -but on tho otlior hand, if I preference, is not giTon n hardship and in. conyeniencc may be imposotl upon unionists.
