Decides in Favour of Government
Press Association—Uopj-i-i^ht Melbourne, this day IN the Mouse yesterday Mr Cameron, whose vote was in doubt, expressed his intention to Support the Government. He denounced the base ingratitude of llm labour party to Mr Deakin. The Watson Government had received the treatment it deserved. Hespoice strongly against Mr Reiil, but afterwards explained that if a general election took place the labour parly, being organised, would sweep the polls, and he would therefore givo his voto so as to give the other side a chancy to prepare for a fair light when it toolc place. His decision is expected io give Mr Roida majority of two, the same as he took ollije on.
_ Mr Watson, speaking on the .situation created by Mr Cameron's declaration, said it was by the action of a man who had publicly spumed it that the Government was to be granted a reprieve. Mr Cameron was determined to prevent the voice of tho people of Australia finding expression in opposition to the prosent Government,
