Tho latter's story was that ho roused Brown out ot bod to protor a clmrgo against anotlior man, and that (ho constablo camo to tho door and struck him on tho (hop, blackening his eyes. Ho thon wont aivay to another man (Loe), and as ho cnuio out Brown turned up mid handculled him, with Loe's assistance Brown doniod iho assault, and Leo suggested that tho datnago to Glanoy occurred whilo ho was resisting arrest. Tho Magistrate coneluiod that complainant had boeu drinking, and received tho injuries whilo resisting tho polico. Ho had not couiplaiuod to Loo übout Brown striking him, Tho cuso was dismissed,
