I THAMES WARDEN'S COURT At the above Court on Monday business * was disposed of as follows: F Applications granted,-James Oorbott, Waiuiangu Extended special quartz claim, WhaDgamata: John Riordan, Kiriltiri prospector's special quartz claim, Kirikiri, Tho following applications were referred to tho favourable consideration of the Ministor for Mines:— John Lachlan MeLiver, Sunlight special quarlz claim, Great Banier Island; the ArendellSyndicate, Limited, six months' protection for the George Turnbull special quarlz claim, Karaka Creek, Thames, J. T, Tilsley applied for six months' pro. teotion for tho Wo Threo special quarlz olaim, Omahu, Mr li. Miller who appeared in support of too application, stated that tho last protection granted for the claim had eypired on May 16 last. At that time application was made for six months' further protection, but, owing to the option holdeis, who were thon endeavouring to procure English capital to work tho claim failing to pay tho rent, tho application could not bo proceeded with, Tho negotiations for English capital had, however, fallen through, and an effort was now being made to form a local syndicate to take over and work the ground. It was now desired to have a littlo further time to complete tho negotiations at present in progress and he (Mr Miller) therefore asked tho Warden to recommend the application to the Minister for Mines for/granting, Tho Warden staled that ho did not think ho would bo able to recommend anything, asnowork had been dono in the claim in tho meantime, but bo would forward the application on to tho Minister.
