Melbourne, this day Tenders are ndvertisod for a new Eng* lish mail service, tho service to bo alternative (fortnightly) with tho P. and 0, service arranged by tho Imperial Government. The sontraofc is for three yoars from January 81st next, and giyes several alternative services. Tho first is an option between Adelaide and some of tho Modi* terranean ports; the second, a similar option, with an undertaking to eall at Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane; tho third, from any port in Australia to any port in England; fourth, from Sydney or Brisbane to Vancouver, In nono of these ia thore any stipulation regarding tho carriage of refrigerated produce, but in the fifth tender, which covers any of the abovo routes, there is an additional condition for refrigerating space, No modification of tho whito. crew olauso is made.
