SPIRITUALISM
SIR CONAN DOYLE’S LECTURES.
Eeceived Nov. 23, 8.50 a.m.' SYDNEY, Nov. 23,
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s lectures continue to draw crowded audiences. There is much newspaper correspondence and strong counter-blasts from the churches. -In his third lecture Cohan Doyle displayed spirit photograph messages, including those from his' own son; W. T/ Stead, John Buskin, and Sir William Crookes. • He also showed pictures .-of a psycho-plasm substance which, he declared, exuded from mediums, who lost from 20 to 30 pounds in weight during a trance. This substance possessed carbonate of lime and phosphates, and came from the medium in the shape of vapour, gradually growing more solid and taking the shape of a human face or limbe. The assumption was that into this shell the spirit came.
