MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A.meeting of the'committee of the Waverley A. and P. Association _ was held on Friday night, Mr G. Aijiken presiding. y . Mr McGregor wrote offering a 6-Guinea Cup for the Hereford heifer, class, calved since July Ist, 1920; cup to extend over a period of two or three years, at the discretion of the committee; also £1 for hammer and shot class. . '

A donation of a 6 Guinea Oup was also received from Mr J. E. Palmer, for special wire jump. Mr S. Bremer’s special prize, of two guineas in the pony class was [received.—lt was decided to thank the donors.

It was decided that the purebred sheep classes be ' deleted from the schedule. ; Mr Symes suggested that all sheep should be weighed, as sometimes sheep wer sent in. overweight. A long discussion took place, it being eventually decided.that Mr Symes’ suggestion.be given effect to, one member remarking that was the stewards’ duty to see that the sheep were not over-weight. ’ - It was decided that no pig class be entered in the show.

The secretary reported that last year’s prize money amounted to £72 6s. Practically,nothing had yet been done for this year. Mr Watkins suggested that a committee of five he appointed to' canvass for subscriptions, .and deal with _ any details that crop up between meetings. —This was agreed to. It was decided to endeavour tp get Moumohaki State Farm to send an exhibt of Ayrshire cattle and Ryeland sheep to the show.
