THE GRAND
“A HOUSE DIVIDED.”
To-night’s attraction at the Grand will be the second screening here of Ruth Holt Boucicault’s famous novel, “The Substance of His House,” which is dramatised as a picture play under the title of “A House Divided.” Two stars of considerable note appear in the leading roles: Miss Sylvia Breamer and Herbert Rawlinson. The story deals with age, beaiity and youth. These three are participants in a love tangle involving the nobility of England. Beauty marries age, youth fights for place; who wins ? “A House Divided” is passed as being more suitable for adult audiences. The book had a wonderful sale, and the events which are recounted inside its pages stirred London society to gossip. The supports will be all new, and in addition “The Man of Might,” No. 14, will also be screened. To-morrow night -will be shown the great racing drama, “In Old Kentucky.”
