Britain and France are both opposed to Constantine’s return. France suggests a strong- warning, to Greece, while Britain prefers to await next Sunday's plebiscite.’ Should the latter indicate Constantine's recall, Britain yyill recommend the withdrawal of some of the Greek mandates and the revision of the Sevres Treaty, in the belief that the Greek troops in Smyrna Will constitute a menace instead of a guarantee.
ATHENS, Nov, -20. A full-length oil portrait of Constantine has been 1 hung in the. Premier’s residence. Portraits of Constantine have also been placed in Government offices and law courts.
"PROBABLE ROYAL MARRIAGES
FAR-REACHING EFFECTS LIKELY,
Received Nov. 22, 10.15 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 21
A Lucerne correspondent writes that it is no exaggeration to say that the future of the Balkans is being settled here. Besides Constantine ' and his satellites a group of four young people are arousing attention, .They arp the Crown Prince of Eoumania, the Princesses Marie of Eoumania and Helen of Greece and Prince Paul of Greece. There is little doubt the Crown Prince and Princess Helen are engaged. These probable marriages are likely to have a far-reaching effect.
