A committee of journalists passed a resolution demanding that a national protest be made against the Californian legislation. ' ; The newspapers Kokumin, Shimbun, and Yarodzu Choho,- which led the outcry against California, simultaneously advocate appeals to public opinion of the world rather than to stronger courses. NEW YORK, Nov. 17.
The American Missionary Society passed a resolution of sympathy for Japanese inhabitants in California on account of the State’s alien laws, declaring that the Japanese are victims of unChristian propaganda. The Association pledges its co-operation to bring about harmony between the Japanese and Americans in California.
