(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Nov, 18. A conference of employers of waterside •' labour and representatives of the Water* side Workers’ Federation discussed tbs question of an increase in the rates; of wages to meet the increased cost of living since the present agreement came into force. As the demands are based on the cost of living as disclosed by the Government Statistician, whose figures are to be challenged by both the workers and employers, the conference failed to come to any conclusion, and is now discussing methods of carrying out ymrk on the waterfront with p view to increased efficiency.
