Sir Hamar Greenwood, spealdng in the Hoiise of Commons, said that twentytwo police and fourteen- soldiers had been murdered in Ireland during October, and twenty-eight police and thirty soldiers wounded. A total of 223 civilians had been court-martialled, and 167 convicted. REPRISALS EXACTED NUMBER OF HOUSES BURNED. Received November 5, 11.30 a.m. LONDON,- Nov. 4. Eleven lorries filled with uniformed men entered Granard, where Inspector Kellegher was shot on Sunday. They opened fire on the houses, and also set fire to various buildings. The market house and a hotel, valued at <£75,000, were destroyed, also a number of business premises. ■ After the withdrawal of troops from Tralee early this morning, uniformed' men, armed with axes and petrol, ignited a number of houses. The military returned, restored order, and helped to extinguish the' fire.
