GONVILLE AND CASTLECLIFP BOARDS. (By Telegraph—Special to “Herald.”) WELLINGTON. Nov. 3. In Clause 44 of' the Washing-Up Bill, it is provided anything in the Municipal Corporations Act, it shall be lawful for the Gonyille Town Board and the Castlecliff'Town Board to make water rates in respect both of ordinary as well as of any extraordinary supply according to the quantity of water consumed, measured by a meter at such rates of charges as may be fixed by by-law, or as may be agreed on with any such person, and all water rates or changes so payable shall be deemed to be separate rates. This section shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of January, nineteen hundred and nine.
