A Are destroyed a four-storeyed warehouse at Wapplng filled with rubber. As the first party*of fire* men enteifed ■ the building a terrlflo explosion hurled them to the street under a mass of wreckage. Three were killed and five seriously Injured, while numbers suffered minor hurts. Many Inhabitants of neighbouring houses rushed Into the streets la their night clothes, seeking safety*.
