At the Addington market there was an increase In all sections of stock to-day, notably beef and store sheep. There was a slgiht easing in values throughout to about' £1 a head for cattle, and 2/6 for all but the primest mutton, and about the same for coarse wooded storesSheep: The largely-increased yarding was comprised principally pf hoggets and half-bred sheep, which retained their values, others were down. 6 and 8-tooth wethers to 37/-, shorn 6 and 8-tooth wethers, sound-mouthed ewes find lambs 2j5/l, failing-mouthed ewes and lambs 21/5 to 24/3, aged and inferior ewes and lambs 15/- to 19/-, good half-bred wether hoggets 29/3 to 31/9, ordinary half-bred wether hoggets 26/3 to 28/10, good crossbred wether hoggets 2‘4/6 to 27/3, ordinary wether hoggets 21/6 to 24/-, good half-bred ewe hoggets 31/- to 33/4, good ewe hoggets 26/to 28/3, inferior ewe hoggets 25/-, mixed sex hoggets 25/- to 26/4, cull hoggets 1/6, to>l7/3. In fat lambs 135 were penned. Good well-grown lambs brought to 37/3, and medium from 28/- to 33/-. Fat sheep rates opened at about 2/6 a head easier than last week, and this about represented the drop on last week. The conclusion of the sale was as firm as any time throughout. Extra prime wethers 54/- to 72/-, prime wethers 46/- to 53/6, medium wethers 40/- to 45/-, light and unfinished wethers 33/9 to 39/6, prime shorn wethers 41/6, medium shorn wethers 31/- to 36/3, prime fewes 40/- to 44/-, medium ewes 34/6 to 38/6, light and unfinished ewes 27/- to 33/-, shorn ewes 39/7, hoggets 26/11 to 36/-. Fat cattle: A big yarding of 385 head. The sale showed a slight easing on last week’s rates. Extra prime steers £34 10/- to £37, prime steers £27 17/- to £34, medium steers £2l 7/6 tp £26 15/-, light and unfinished steers £ll 10/- to £2O 10/-, prime heifers £l6 15/-, light and unfinished heifers £9 to £l3, prime cows £l6 16/- to £l9 12/ 6, ordinary cows £l3 10/- to £l6 10/-, light and unfinished cows £9 5/- to £l3. Vealers: There was a firmer demand. Runners £9 10/-, good vealers £7 17/6, medium vealers £4 2/6, inferior £2 5/-. Store cattle: A big yarding and a good demand for young steers. Three-year-old steers £ls, 2yr-old steers £ll, 18-month old to 2yr heifers £6 5/- to £B, young cows £9, mixed sex yearlings £4 10/- to £5. Dairy cows:, Good second and third calvers £23, third calvers £23, good springing heifers £2O 6/-, inferior and aged cows £3 10/- to £lO. Fat pigs: Choppers £8 to £ll, light baconers £6 15/- to £7 10/-, heavy baconers £8 to £8 15/-, extra heavy baconers £9 to £9 10/-; average price per lb 1/0% to 1/1. Porkers: £5 to £5 10/-, heavy porkers £5 15/- to £6 5/-, average price per lb 1/3 to 1/4. Store pigs: A good entry and price. The demand was good and large stores brought £5 11/- to £6 10/-, medium £4 to £5 10/-, small stores £3 to £3 18/-, weaners £2 6/- to £3 2/-, sows in pig £l2.
