DIED ON DUTY

FATE OF A RAILWAY GUARD. (Per United Press Association.) TAUMARUNUI, Oct. 29. Guard William B. Duncan, who fell on the Taumarunui platform yesterday in an apoplectic fit, died at the hospital at 9.30 last night, liis wife arrived by the night express from Auckland, but Duncan was then unconscious. Tne deceased was 48 years of age, and left one child. He was popular in the service. The body will be removed to Auckland for burial.
