Besides winning the .£IOO prize in the King's match, Face won an extra £IOO for using a Mottio barrel. Masefield got into the twentieth place with 314, while Roots and West, each 313, won £4. PATEA CLUB. The trophy presented to the Patea Rifle Club by Rifleman W. Stratford, of Hawera, drew good competition at the Patea rifle range. The conditions were 7 shots at 200 and 300 yards.
