SYDNEY, October 29. The mailer cabled scores were for both (not the separate) ranges of the second round of the King’s Prize, and the larger aggregate for the first and second rounds. In the Sargood Gold Cup, for teams of four, the winners were Eandwick Literary Institute, who scored 277. Tho Britishers scored 257 and Marlborough 268, but as some of the Marlborough representatives are only honorary members, the team had to forego the third prize of which went to Lithgow, with a score of 267 The shooting off of the tie in the second stage of the King’s Prize resulted in Kembell beating Richardson by one point. SYDNEY RIFLEMAN WINS KING’S PRIZE. SYDNEY, October 29. The last stage of the King’s Prize, 800 yards and 903 yards, was fired in a heavy erratic wind. A dull, even light was rendered worse by clouds of dust. The conditions proved fatal to the chances of those more prominent iji the early rounds. The winner was J. Face (Sydney) with a score of 327. Porritt (Lithgow) was second with 326. At 800 yards Porritt’a total was 237 and Face’s 254. 'Face at the 600 yards put on 13 bulls and two fours, just beating Porritt with the last shots. Richardson (Britain) made 320. New Zealanders were not among the first flight.
