SKELETON IN COURT

A LESSON ON BONES. A gruesome touch was added to the customary sombre suroundings of the District Court in Sydney last week, when a human skeleton was produced to illustrate the 'injuries a man had received as the result of an accident. The Court usher held the bones aloft while the doctor in the witness box gave an anatomical discourse, and when the witness had finished the usher placed the human frame tenderly and reverently up against the reporters’ box. Some amusement was caused by the conduct of a litigant who was concerned in another case. He put hjs head' in the doorway, looked at Judge Cohen, and then caugnt sight of the skeleton. The noise he made getting down the stairs interrupted the business of the Court!
