AN APPEAL TO THE KING. -LONDON, Aug. 26. Mr Redmond Howard, nephew of the late Mr John Redmond, sent his Majesty an appeal begging for clemency for Irishmen who were on the verge of death through hungerstriking. The King replied assuring him that the appeal would receive immediate careful attention.
