TRADE WITH AUSTRALIA

4_N INTERESTING REPORT. Received August 27, 11 a.m. LONDON, August 35. Mr Stuart McGregor's re:x>rt to tho Government on trade with Australia in 1919 has been published. Its contents is largely ihe same as already cabled, but adds that it is probable tho full efforts of the war expenditure will not be felt in Australia for about another two years. Although ready money is plentiful, it is apparently being freely spent on amusements and luxuries. No doubt the high prices of necessary commodities are having a restrictive effect on consumption.
