IVT OTT.CE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Patea County Council, at its meeting to be held on Monday, September 13, 1920, at 11 a.m., in pursuance and exercise ox the powers vested in it by the Counties Act, 1808, and amendments thereto, and the Tinting Act, 1808, and amendments, to make and levy the undermentioned General Rates, under Sections 117 and 118, Counties Act, 1908, and Section 18, Counties Amendment Act, 1913, such rates to be for the period commencing on April 1, 1920, and ending on March 31, 1921, and to be assessed on the capital value on. the Valuation Roll of ab rateable property within the respective Ridings of the County of Patea. VALUATION OF WOOL AND SHEEPSKINS ON BEHALF OP THE IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT. T T is hereby notified for the informs tion of all persons concerned that, in accordance with the notice in the New Zealand Gazette of the 12th of August, 1930, all Wool and Sheepskins, excluding Wool of the 1920-1921 clip, and excluding Freezing Works’ Slipe and Freezing Worts’ Sheepskins, delivered for appraisement into registered Government Brokers’ Stores on or before the thirtieth day of September, 1920, will be purchased on behalf of the Imperial Government. At that date Valuations of Wool and Sheepskins in the Dominion will definitely cease. To avoid subsequent dislocation of the market, the Wool and Sheepskin Brokers have undertaken not to hold auction sales of Sheepskins for six weeks following the 30th September, by which date . ir is anticipated that all woo!-scouring 1 and-fellmongering on behalf of the Imperial Government will be concluded and .the works at ailable for the purchase and treatment of privately-owned Wool and Skins.
