IN DIVORCE. At the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon, before Hs Honor Sir John Salmon 11, Arthur Lambert (Mr Cohen) sought dissolution of his marriage from Emily Lambert. Henry Coventry, Wellington, was joined as co-respondent. The petitioner said that ho was married to respondent at Auckland, and lived with her at Auckland, New Plymouth, and Wanganui. There were five children by the marriage; two daughters being married and two being at the convent. In May last respondent left petitioner, and as far as ho knew wens to Wellington. While in New Plymouth petitioner had to complain of his wife’s conduct. She, went to Wanganui for a holiday, and on her return she told him that sho could no longer live with him She also admitted that she had lived with a man at Rotorua. Petitioner offered to take his wife back and forgive her for everything for the sake of tho children. Respondent refused, stating that she had disgraced herself and could not face her people or the children. "When witness went to Wellington in May last he found his wife living in rooms in Willis Street with a xr.r-n named Coventry, and the latter admitted he had been living with respondent, imagining her to be a widow, later respondent made a statement in writing, admitting misconduct with Coventry. Witness had reason to believe that his wife was still living with Coventry. Edith Thomas, employed in Dinnie’s Inquiry Agency. Wellington, stated that respondent and petitioner came to the inquiry office, and witness took down a statment made by respondent. Henry Mearns, waterside worker,"Wellington, said ho knew tho respondent and co-respondent, who had been living together as man and wife in the same house aa witness. They were still living in the same house, but they had bad aquarrel, and respondent now had a room of her owm. His Honor granted a decree nisi, to be made absolute in three months, with costs on the lowest scale against co-re spen dent, interim custody of tho three youngest,children being given to petitioner.
