INCREASED STAKES. CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB. CHRISTCHURCH, August 26. Tho Canterbury Jockey Club has increased stakes for the New Zealand Derby to 2000 sovs., and for the New Zealand Oaks to 750 sots. The stakes for the spring meeting have been in creased by 361450, and the summer meeting by =£2:7o, and tb© autumn meeting by =£3oo. These increases bring the total, stakes for tho season up to .£41,590.
