IN SYRIA
OUTRAGE BY ARMED BANDS. Received August 24, 2 p.m. PARIS. August 23. Advices from Haifa state that Premier of the provisional Syrian Government, tho president of the State Council and two Hegalese soldier’s were assassinated while travelling to Dorra. The train was attacked by armed bands, and tho luggage and mails pillaged. The train eventually reached Haifa.
