The official classification of points issued in connection with the Olympic games is;— America 210, Finland 95, Sweden 90, Britain 50, France 33, Italy 29. South Africa 23, Canada 13, Norway 11. Esthoniu 10, Belgium and Denmark 0 each. New Zealand, Australia and Holland 5 each, Czicka-Slovakia 3, and Luxemburg 1. FURTHER RESULTS. The cross-country event resulted; Uurmi (Finland) 1, Backman (Sweden) 2, Lumatamen (Finland) 3. Time, 27min 15 sec. The final of the hundred metres hack swimming resulted;—Eeeloha (America) 1, Kegeris (America) 2, Blitz (Belgium) 3. Time, 75 1-5 sec. AUSTRALASIANS HANDICAPPED. Received August 25, 2.30 p.m. LONDON, August 24. In the hundred metres swimming race, Kahanamoku won in 60.2-5, but was ordered to re-swim, owing to Ross and Kelloha shutting in Herald. In the swimming events the cold, cheerless weather in the open-air baths, and the bitter coldness of the water, handicapped the Australians. Hewitt’s failure in the Marathon wds due to cold rain causing cramp.
