Lloyd; Members of the Victorian Order, Mr Clifford Hay (secretary of tho premier's Department) and LieutenantColonel Heritage (chief instructor at the school of musketry). j Kinlavrk, winner of the Australian Steeplechase, has been presented to tho Prince by his owner, Mr Niall. When acquainted with the fact that Federal income tax had been levied on the visiting pressmen with the Prince’s party, Mr W. M. Hughes stated that hj h;uj written to the pressmen expresshis regret, and adding that the payment would bo refunded. 818 POSTPONED VISIT TO INDIA. DELHI, August 19. The decision to postpone-the Prince of Wales’ visit to India was expected. The Indian Nationalist leader, Gandhi, bad been openly advocating a boycott of the Prince’s visit as part of_ the Kaliphato agitation. Without interfering so far, the Government is closely watching his campaign. Loyalists in India profoundly regret th© postponement of the Prince’s visit.
