WINDOW SMASHING.
AMATEUR BOXER CHARGED. (Pei’ United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 23. A serious complaint was made recent* ly of the wholesale smashing of plateglass windows, numbers of which were wantonly broken. 'J ho latest instance was at" Mr G. Fowld's (mercer) .shop, Manners Street, where a. loud crash waa heard, and a pane worth ,260 was smashed. Later J- H- Carr, known in_ amateur boxing circles, was arrested, “* tho police considering they had evidence against him.
