PROTEST AGAINST DELAYS. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 20. A representaii ,-c Labour deputation waited upon ibe Minister of Labour today in connection with Arbitration Court matters. The deputation, which was introduced by Mr Fraser, M.P., protested against the delay in Arbitration Court sittings in the chief centres, and also against the delay in giving decision in respect to the cost of livingbonus. Objection was taken to the fact that the President of the Court frequently sat on the Supreme Court Bench instead of giving priority' to work of the Arbitration Court. It was admitted that the Court wa.s overworked. The deputation suggested that the situation could be overcome if further clerical assistance was given the registrar. dir William Homes, in reply, said ho would make representations to the Minister of Justice regarding the clashing of the work of the Arbitration and Sunrenie Courts. The matter of providing clerical assistance for the registrar wan one that could easily be rectified, and would be rectified if inquiries showed the need.
