WATERSIDERS' DEMAND
DRASTIC ACTION BY SHIPOWNERS. (Per United Press Association.) Received August 20, 2.30 p.m. BRISBANE, August 20. The Steamship Owners’ Association has been advised by the Overseas’ Association in Sydney that it has been decided to send no more steamers to ba loaded for the United Kingdom in Brisbane till an assurance is given by the Brisbane waterside workers that all the handling of the cargo will he performed under the las: Federal Arbitration Court award. The required assurances has nos ye: Von r.ye:ved, and the position is causing ansm-tv.
