ANGLO-AMERICAN PROBLEMS.

PREMIER AND PRESIDENT MAT CONFER. By Telegraph-Press Assn.—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. Received—August 20, 9.15 a.m, LONDON, August 19. It is understood at Washington that Mr Lloyd George will /cross the Allan* tic in October to meet the Premiers of the British Dominions bordering on the Pacific for a conference probably at Vancouver on the renewal of the Anglo-Japanese pact in 1921. It is believed that Mr Lloyd George, during his stay in Canada, will be invited to visit Washington, and it is pointed out that there are innumerable questions of British-Americau interest, which a personal conference between President Wilson and Mr Lloyd George, lasting an hour, would do more to settle than diplomatic exchanges lasting weeks.
