RAILWAY RATES.
NEW SCALE TO OPERATE ON MONDAY. (Bv Telegraph—Special to “Herald”). WELLINGTON, Aug. 18. ’ The revised railway tariff, designed to increase the revenue by £750,000, was again before Cabinet to-day, but was referred back to the Department for consideration of the CatpeCs suggestions. The delay 'ifm not prevent the operation of the new rates from Monday.
