At Messrs Williams and Harper’s poultry and produce sale last week there was a large entry of poultry. Prices in poultry showed a decided advance on the previous week, bens selling at 10/9 to 12/6, roosters 9/to 13/6 and ducks 13/- to 14/6. There was a good demand for produce, particularly vegetables. Cauliflowers bad eased in price since the previous week and sold at 1/- each. Carrots realised 5/- per small bag; cabbage 7/6 sack; pumpkins 11/sack or 12/- per dozen; potatoes (southern) 13/- to 15/- per sack; hay 7/6 per truss or £lO per ton; chaff 10/- to 11/- per sack; apples 3/6 to 5/- half case, and 8/- to 10/per case.
