NEW GOVERNOR-GENERAL
SELECTION OP A STAFF. ADVANCE PARTY LEAVES. LONDON, July 2. Lord and Lady Jellicoe will be spending most of their time in the Isle of Wight until the end of July. After that they will be visiting friends throughout England preparatory to sailing by the Corinthic on August 19. The selection of a staff has now been completed, and the advance party, consisting of eight of the 25 members of the domestic staff, arc leaving by the Ruapehu on July S. This party will be under the charge of Captain A. R. W. Curtis, M.C., of the 11th Hussars, who has been appointed military secretary to the new Governor-General.
Captain P. R. M. Mnndy, D.5.0., M.C., and Lieutenant R. G. Southey, have been selected as aidcs-de-camp. Captain Mnndy is an officer of the South Wales Borderers, and Lieutenant Southey served with the Royal Field Artillery throughout the war. Recently he has been continuing bis studies at Oxford. Miss Alice M. Gillctt, who has been Lord Jellicoe’s private secretary for the past two years, will go out with the Vice-Regal party as Lady Jellicoe’s private secretary.
