WATERSIDERS’ WHIMS
(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 9. There was no work on the Wellington waterfront to-day. Owing to rain, the employers did not make a call for labour as usual, at 8 o’clock. One hour later the weather showed signs of clearing, but no watersiders answered the call which was then made. The majority had gone home. It is understood the men will be prepared to resume to-morrow.
