WAR MEMORIAL

PYLON AT HYDE PARK CORNER. LONDON, July 12. Sir Prank Baines is designing a national war memorial for erection at Hyde Park Corner. It is a gigantic pylon, with two flanking temples in the Egyptian style. The memorial is likely to bo the most distinctive object in London. Sir Frank Baines is the principal architect of the Office of Public Works iu charge of Royal Palaces, Houses of Parliament, public and historic buildings, and ancient monuments.
