REPARATION PAYMENTS
A FRENCH PROTEST.. AGAINST LLOYD GEORGE’S CALCULATION. Received July 3, 8.5 a.m. PARIS, July 2. Le Matin has criticised Mr Lloyd George’s supposed method of calculating the distributing of reparation payments. It is believed that Mr Lloyd George bases his calculation on the number of lives lost by the various countries in the war, by which France and England receive reparation in the proportions of eleven to five. L© Matin protests that this does not provide compensation for the devastated northern regions.
