CHURCH NOTES
“The Erroneous Doctrines and Questionable Methods of Seventh Day Adventists” is the subject cn which the Rev. David Campbell will speak at the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church tomorrow night. All lovers of “The Truth” are cordially invited to attend. At the Upper Aramoho Presbyterian Church to-morrow the Rev. David "Campbell will preach in the afternoon, and in the evening at seven, Mr A. B, Emmett will conduct the service. A cordial invitation is extended to all. At Trinity Methodist Church to-mor-row, the morning service will be conducted by the Rev. 0. R. Ream. The Rev. H. L. Blamirer, will be the preacher in (he evening, the subject being “What Can I do for You?” An anthem will be rendered by the choir, and the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be observed. The Rev. Hugh Beggs will conduct both services at St. Paul’s to-morrow, and iu accordance with present arrangements, will continue to do so pending the arrival of St. Paul’s new minister. Mr Beggs has retired from ministerial duties owing to impaired health, but hearty appreciation lias been expressed of his sermons and the conduct of the services since he has been occupying the pulpit of St. Paul’s. The Rev. William Carey—a grandson of Dr Carey, the acknowledged founder and pioneer of modern missions to tho heathen—is paying a short visit to Wanganui. lie , has been a missionary in India for thirty years, and is among the mbst honoured of the agents of the B'aptirt Missionary Society. He will speak in tho local Baptist Churches on Sunday—at Gonvilie in the morning, Wanganui. Bast in the afternoon, and Ingestre Street at night. .Both morning and evening services at. the Wanganui East Presbyterian Church to-morrow will be conducted by the Rev. Walt, of Christchurch. A hearty invitation is extended to all friends.
The services at the Wanganui East Baptist Church will be conducted by Pastor T. Atkinson, who has come to take charge of the work there. He comes to us with the highest credentials from his former postorates in the Morrinsvillo and Gatlins Elver district.
