A BIG SURPLUS. Reuter.—July 3, 10.30 a.m. "LONDON, July 2. The expenditure during the quarter ending June 1 was .£284,728,238, compared with .£401,199,080 for the corresponding quarter of 1919, and the surplus of revenue over expenditure is .£30,258,214, compared with a deficit last year of L 210,403,318. The floating debt has been reduced since March 31 by =£26,354,000.
