RETURNED SOLDIERS’ ASSOCIATION. CONCERT ON SATURDAY NIGHT. A most enjoyable entertainment was given by the Returned Soldiers’ Association in the Opera Honse.ua Saturday night, when the revue “Egyptland” was staged. Considerable forethought and attention has been given by those responsible for preparing the concert, and the results of their work could be seen in the appropriate stage settings and. correct costuming of the performers. The “Diggers” were assisted by well known local talent, including Mrs Ivo Symes, Misses A_ Johnson, M. Julian, and S. O’Hara, Messrs Peyman and Wilkie, Many local “hits” wears neatly scored by the comedy makers of the revue, and what with excellent soloists, delightful quartettes and breezy repartee, the production went with, a swing from start to finish, and was a most creditable one to the management. A feature of the evening’s entertainment was the playing of the orchestra, which is the R.S.A.’s own. For a first appearance ib did very well indeed and showed .many signs of long and assiduous practice. This evening the revue will be repeated before His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.
