TO EXPEL BOLSHEVIKS
POLES AND UKRAINIANS UNITED. LONDON, May 1. The Polish Government has officially recognised Petlura’s Government. Pilsudki has issued a proclamation stating that his forces had entered Ukraine to expel the Bolsheviks, and would remain till the Ukrainian Government had been established, and then withdraw.
Petlura has issued a proclamation that a Polish-Ukrainian agreement was established to fight the common enemy of Bolshevism till it is defeated.
A Bolshevik communique admits the loss of Jitomir, and fears that the offensive threatens Kieff.
SUCCESS OF CAMPAIGN.
LONDON, May 1. , The Times’ Warsaw correspondent, writing oi'. the 30fch, says that the Polish offensive proceeds with great success, and has reached the junction of the Dnieper and. Pripet, less than 50 miJes from Kieff. Cavalry have crossed the river at Tetreff, and infantry swing along on the Zitonurkieff road. Two lied divisions were cut off and surv nuded by Poles and Ukrainians jointly at Litnimohiloff.
