ACCIDENT TO INGA

BUTS INTO WELLINGTON. CARGO FOR WANGANUI. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 1. The steamer Inga, owned by R. S. Lamo and Co., of Sydney, which left Newcastle for Wanganui on April 23rd, struck some obstacle when about 50 miles off Wanganui, at 3.30 a.m. yesterday. As she was found to be leaking, Captain Bull headed for 'Wel'ington, arriving hero this morntng. Tire extent of the damage is not yet known. She has 1000 tons of coal for the Wanganui Gasworks, and is also carrying 100 tons of hardwood.
