DISTURBANCES AT THEATRE

MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR IN LONDON. Assn—May 1, 12.5 a.m. LONDON, April 30. Disturbances have occurred at the Garrick Theatre which recall the old price riots at Covent Garden in 1709. Miss Taylor, and Messrs Cochran and Hartley Manners profess to be at a loss to divine the cause, though they were certainly planned. Stink bombs were dropped in the stalls, and scores of pennies flung on the stage. Snuff and pellets affected many occupants of the stalls. Justice Horridge, who was present, suggests that it was a Sinn Fein plot, but probably the real cause will be disclosed today. Details are unprocurable owing to the late hour.
