LHm’S PEACE PROPOSALS. A. & N.Z. LONDON, Feb. 23. The Daily Express Copenhagen correspondent has received from Lenin a statement of policy in which he declares that the Soviet Government awaits resumption of trade and allround peace in .order to put into operation great electrification schemes with which he hopes to rejuvenate Russia. Scientists and experts have been working out schemes which make electricity the basis of Russian industry. BPJTTSH RECOGNITION URGED. TOMS OP BRITISH MISSION. A.&N.Z. LONDON, Feb. 23. General Hubert Gough, and other members of the British Missions to North Russia ask North-Western Russia have sent a memorial to Mr Lloyd George urging recognition of the Soviet Government. They declare that the past crimes should not baar present recognition. They do not believe the Koltchak and Doniken Governments have shown themselves superior to the Bolsheviks in humanity, while as regards energy, union, and resource, they Law shown themselves inferior. GERMAN GOODS WANTED. Reuter. _ BERLIN, Feb. 21. Kopp, a Soviet representative, in an interview with Vorwaerts, emphasised that Russia wanted German machinery, coal, drugs and technical organisers. To give raw materials in exchange for goods would be the Russians principle. Kopp forecasted an immediate migration of G-.Jinan skilled labour to Russia.
