SCHOLS TO RE-OPEN ON 19th.

WELLINGTON, February 10. A statement issued by Dr. Frengley, Deputy-Chief Health Officer, acting on behalf of Dr. Makgill, announces that the schools in the Auckland health district will re-open on the 19th inst. The same applies to the Wellington health district, which includes Wanganui and Taranaki. It must be clearly understood that the Department cannot guarantee that circumstances may mot arise which will make it necessary to keep the schools closed in small areas. An announcement regarding other districts will be made later.
