LABOUR LEADER’S THEWS. W ELLINETON, February 7. It is persistently reported on thfl waterfront that difficulties will be. placed in the way of the Mokoia leaving on the Samoan trip. Mr Young (general secretary of the Seamen’s Federation), when asked if his organisation had passed any hostile resolution, declined to affirm or deny it,. Mr Holland (member for Grey), evidently apprehensive of trouble, spoke last night in justification of tbe Parliamentary excursion, declaring that there would be no shortage of coal on the day when people of New Zealand insisted on the mine-owners meeting the men in conference and agreeing to decent living conditions and wages for those engaged in coal production.
