WANGANUI TROTTING CLUB. Nominations for the Wanganui Trotting Club’s meeting are conting m freely, and there is every indication that at the time of closing—6 p.m. on Tuesday next—they will be of record dimensions. , Several nominations have already been received from Southern owners, and more are expected to come to hand. The quality of the horses being nominated justifies the tightening up of the classes, and there is every prospect of some high-class trotting being witnessed <?n the new track,. Liverpool Park, on the 27th inst. and March 1. Mr A. Coe has taken Rio Grande to New Plymouth, where the gelding will be competing in the Cup to-day. Stone Beldon is in steady work on the chib’s new track, and .should be m good form for the Wanganui meeting. Stone has Rosini Elect in work, and she promises to be fit for her engage,ments at the meeting. Handicaps for the Wanganui meeting will bo declared about Monday, 16th inst., and the acceptances will close on Saturday, 21st, at 5 p.m.
